Edu Rosa / Málaga, 1971
Edu Rosa is self-taught and later graduated from the San Telmo School of Art in Málaga, where he gained more than 30 years of experience. He is a versatile photographer with great sensitivity, which is reflected in all his work, with street photography and landscape photography being the subjects with which he feels most comfortable and with which he can identify. In street photography his work revolves around light and its beauty, while in landscape photography he reflects on the relationship between art and nature. Raised in and in love with Argentine photography, he now teaches specialized courses in analog photography at the Escuela Apertura.
He has exhibited individually and collectively in galleries in Andalusia, Madrid and Barcelona, among others: Morocco: Cuadernos de viaje. Niu, Espai Artístic Contemporani. Barcelona, 2006; Brazil. Altaïr Bookshop. Barcelona, 2006; Breves como fotos. Postcards. San Telmo School of Art. Málaga, 2016; Tan lejos, tan cerca. Ateneo de Málaga, 2021, as part of the MAF (Málaga Festival 2021) program. His latest work, De la contemplación a la apropiación del paisaje, is an essay on the human impact on the natural landscape. It was recently on view at the Sala Laverón at the Pablo Ruiz Picasso Cultural Center in Torremolinos.
