Photo week in Competa / Spain

Competa Photodays in one of the most beautiful white mountain villages of Andalusia.

COMPETA Photo Days are new in the landscape of European photo festivals. Guests, participants and residents should be able to feel and experience the visual power of photography together. A gathering of international photo enthusiasts with exhibitions, photowalks, image anlyses and photo workshops. Competa Photo Days will be organized by the LIK Academy of Photography and Design in collaboration with the Municipality of Competa and will take place in Competa from October 29 to November 6, 2022.

The many individual courses, seminars and events will be held in Spanish, German and English. International photographers, experts and lecturers from Spain, Austria, Italy, England and Ukraine will lecture and teach. The peaceful power of photography in the beautiful autumn light of Andalusia guarantees a week of creativity, inspiration and community.

Photo exhibitions by Michelo Toro (apertura), the World Masters of Photography Award, the EPEX Open Call, Santiago Martinez de Septien, Eric Berger and more will be on display in Competa.

One of the photo projects also calls on the residents of the village to be photographed in the open photo studio of the LIK Academy of Photography and Design for the book project "Faces of Competa" during the photo festival.
